From my experience of this book he knows how to effectively develop characters and their stories, almost lulling you into a false sense of security before he adds a twist at the end. I began to understand quickly why people like Stephen King’s books. Once I picked this book up to read I could see a lot of Joe Hill’s style of writing in it (I really enjoyed the only book of Joe Hill’s that I’ve read so far), so I was certainly interested in reading further. So what changed, I saw this book in a local book store on special and I liked the premise of the story. It leads straight on from Book 1’s events, but I think it’s a little more character-driven this time around. That being said…I don’t feel like the cliffhanger of Book 1 gets resolved?
